Rung Announces Leslie K. Gill as Executive Director
Experienced Nonprofit Leader Selected by the Board to Lead Rung’s Evolution

September 25, 2017 (St. Louis, MO) – The Rung Board announced today that Leslie K. Gill was selected to lead the evolution of Rung, a nonprofit helping women and their children achieve economic sustainability. After an extensive search, the Board unanimously selected Gill as the Executive Director to build Rung into a co-located, fully integrated collaboration dedicated to creating generational change in St. Louis. Previously, Rung operated a resale, clothing store, donating the profits to the Women’s Foundation of St. Louis and Nurses for Newborns.
Gill will begin her new role on November 1.
“We are pleased that someone with Leslie’s experience and skills will be leading this innovative effort to change the outcomes for women and their families”, said Ali Kindle Hogan, founder and Chair of the Rung board. “Leslie has demonstrated an ability to build and manage a successful organization that is focused on creating positive change.”

Gill is coming from Annie Malone Children and Family Service Center where she is Chief Executive Officer. She has extensive experience in nonprofit management, community affairs and public relations. Gill’s career has included leading College Summit, leadership roles with the Girl Scouts and serving as the Director of Business Development and Client Relations for Swanson Communications in Washington, D.C. She began her public service work as a member Mayor Anthony Williams’ team in Washington, D.C.
Gill is a native of St. Louis and resides in the city with her daughter. She is a distinguished alumna of Hampton University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. She also earned a Master of Business in International Business from Saint Louis University.
